On Friday and Saturday, January 12th and 13th, some Cub band members competed for a spot in the TMEA Region 14 Band, against other band students from all the middle schools in Laredo. Around 750 students competed for a total of 246 spots in the band. Congratulations to the following Cub Band kids who qualified! The Student of the Month Program is designed to recognize worthy students for their exemplary academic efforts, community service, citizenship, athletics, or volunteer service. The student should demonstrate average academic effort, good school attendance and good discipline. The nominated student should also demonstrate one of the four Leading the Way categories; Leading with Heart, Inspiring Change, Supports Growth, and Drive Results.
