Laredo ISD welcomed its newest educators during the New Teachers Academy on Tuesday morning at the Vidal M. Trevino School of Communications and Fine Arts. The morning began with greetings from Superintendent Dr. Sylvia Ríos. The new teachers are spending the week learning about LISD’s policies, procedures, instructional technology, and much more.

The LISD Child Nutrition Program is excited to announce that Santo Niño Elementary School is going green with their Fresh Farm Initiative! Students are getting hands-on experience in growing their own food and learning the importance of sustainability. Proud of our little gardeners!

Our incredible National Elementary Honor Society members are making a difference in our community! They volunteered at the Petco Donation Drive to support the Laredo Animal Protective Society.
