Today, we're so proud to recognize one of our very own, Demi Jo, a brave childhood cancer warrior at Ryan Elementary! 🎗️ Demi Jo, along with her parents and our wonderful administrators, took part in the LISD's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Proclamation Ceremony. It was an honor to stand with Demi Jo as we raised awareness for this important cause. We are constantly inspired by Demi Jo's strength and resilience, and we're so glad to have her as part of our Ryan Elementary family! ❤️

Last week, our amazing 3rd-grade students at Ryan Elementary had a special visit from Happy Turtle for a SCAN presentation on Staying Drug Free! 🐢 Happy Turtle shared some fantastic tips on making smart choices and staying healthy. Our students learned about the importance of being kind to their bodies and minds. A huge thank you to SCAN for this important and engaging presentation! We're so proud of our students for being so attentive and showing their commitment to a healthy, drug-free life!

🏀Basketball Tryouts🏀

Just a reminder parents that we will be having basketball tryout for Kindergarten & 1st Grade Boys and Girls on Sept. 4th. Kinder tryouts will be from 4-5PM and 1st Grade from 5-6PM. See flyer for more information

What a fantastic way to start the day! A massive shoutout to the Nixon High School Mustangs Football team 🏈, the incredible Mustang Band 🎵, the spirited cheerleaders 📣, and the talented Golden Spurs Dance Team 💛. Thank you all for coming out and giving out students such a warm and enthusiastic welcome! 🤗 Your positive energy and support mean so much to us and helped everyone start their day with a smile. It's moments like these that make our community so special!

What a great week it’s been for our Ryan Elementary Bobcats! 🎈 Our Thursday AR kickoff theme was "Up, Up, and Away!" and our students dressed in vibrant hot air balloon colors to celebrate. We had an amazing time reading "Once Upon a Balloon" together.

Buzzing with excitement for our Wednesday AR kickoff! 🐝 Our theme was "Don't Bug Me, I'm Buzzing!" and our students truly embraced it. The halls of Ryan Elementary were filled with adorable bees and creative bugs. We had a wonderful time reading "Bumblebee Queen" together.

🚀Our Tuesday AR kickoff was a blast as we were "Soaring Through the Skies!" Students transformed into awesome astronauts and daring pilots, ready to explore the final frontier. We had a great time reading "Eight Days Gone" and launching into a new year of reading adventures.

Attention Ryan Elementary Parents! As we get ready for the new school year, we want to make sure everyone is familiar with our traffic plan for student drop-off and pick-up. Your child's safety is our top priority! Please take a moment to review the attached traffic maps. Key things to remember: * No Drop-Off in the Front: Student drop-off is NOT permitted on Clark Blvd. Please use the designated areas in the back and side of the school. * Safety First: We ask that all drivers remain patient and obey the traffic arrows. The speed limit is 5 mph. * Stay Off the Phone: For the safety of our students and staff, please do not use your cell phone while in the pick-up and drop-off lanes. Thank you for your cooperation in making our school a safe place for everyone! We can't wait to see you all!
