The Laredo Independent School District and Nixon High School welcomed U.S. Department of Education Secretary Linda McMahon to J.W. Nixon High School. Secretary McMahon convened an education panel with local leaders including Board of Trustees from both Laredo ISD and United ISD, along with K-12 administrators and educators, and private schools. Secretary McMahon also toured the Culinary Arts, Barber and Cosmetology, and Construction classes at Nixon High School.
