Principal's message
Fall is among us and the month of November rings in a season of thankfulness. It is hard to believe that we have already passed the first quarter of our school year. As principal of J.W. Nixon High School, I would like to extend my sincerest appreciation and thanks to our staff, administrators, teachers, students, and parents.
As I walk our hallways, I see many signs of a productive environment that fosters learning. I see students actively engaged in learning, positive interactions between teachers and their students, students collaborating with one another, our great custodial staff keeping our campus so beautiful and clean, and a positive and caring staff that supports all of our students.
As I reflect on our school year so far, I approach Thanksgiving with much satisfaction that we are doing all we can to ensure our students’ educational journey is a successful one.
